Music at Romanian Palaces (2016)

Between 3 and 21 of August 2016, 11 concerts have taken place all around Romania in some of the most beautiful places of the country: Peles Castle, Prejmer Fortified Church, Fagaras Citadel, Iasi Palace of Culture, Miclauseni Castle, Mogosoaia Palace etc. Costin Soare presented to the Romanian public an instrument not well-known in the country, the Renaissance lute, playing a program of around 15 minutes with this instrument (Bakfark, Dalza, Dowland) and continuing with a Spanish and South-American repertoire played on the guitar (Albeniz, Tarrega, Ramirez, Morel): 3000 kilometres  around the country in a tour with an attendance of around 1500 people.

Easter Harmonies (2015)

Between 28 of March and 4 of April 2015, Costin Soare played in three concerts dedicated to music and poetry, with actress Daniela Nane, part of a larger tour which included also concerts with piano. Christian Poetry and music by Bach, Schubert, Villa-Lobos etc. were presented at Peles Castle, “Eugene Ionesco” Cultural Centre of Slatina and Mogosoaia Palace near Bucharest.

Nocturnes and dances (2013)

A tour of 5 cities (Bucharest, Ploiesti, Iasi, Cluj, Brasov) which has evolved during the post-doctoral studies (MIDAS program – Advanced Doctoral Studies Institute of the National University of Music, Bucharest) included 5 concerts and 4 conferences: Bach’s Lute Suites BWV 995 şi 996, together with Britten’s Nocturnal after John Dowland, op. 70 and Takemitsu’s All in Twilight were a premiere for the Romania guitar world; the conference with the title „Bach’s Lute Suites: two case studies” was presented in four Music Academies. One of the results of these studies and the tour was the recording and release in June 2014 of a CD entitled Nocturnes and Dances.
